Family Portraits, Babies & Children

I like to keep my photographs natural and in keeping with the atmosphere of the day. My aim is to use the relationship I have with my clients to keep them relaxed but so they can also enjoy being photographed and creating their memories. I love working with children too so don't worry about making sure they 'stand still' or 'perform'. I can work with them and take my time until we get the perfect shot.

I capture candid shots and find a natural shot of someone laughing- be it an adult or a child really lights up their eyes. Just be yourself- the photos need to capture the real you so don't be afraid to relax and be yourself!

As we live in such a beautiful part of the country I always recommend shooting outdoors. Not only does it provide more vibrant photos- especially at the turn of Autumn and Spring, it is a lot more relaxing for children. They can be 'kids' which provides for more relaxed and natural photos.

I do not rush; especially if you have children, as I understand it takes them time to feel relaxed and comfortable. I don't leave until everyone has a smile on their face and has enjoyed themselves. The outdoors is perfect for children, and adults, to run around!

"YOU DON'T TAKE A PHOTOGRAPH, YOU MAKE IT" - ANSEL ADAMS

Since the birth of my second son I have developed a new passion for baby photography. I specialise in natural baby photography in their home environment- capturing their tiny features, photographs with parents or siblings or just photographing them cosy and sleepy. If capturing some relaxed and natural photographs of your newborn is what you are looking for then do contact me and we can talk through your options. Please see my gallery for examples of what I cover.

Regardless of what your request is, do contact me; I believe it is vitally important to get to know each other and understand what your requirements are so that you can be comfortable and reassured throughout. I offer weekday and weekend slots, and can attend in all weathers. Sometimes rain and snow can provide for great photos!
